In August 2020, I decided to retire from my full time role as Managing Director of AWR Lloyd to pursue a career as independent professional. I have been accepting independent roles since 2013 as non-executive director, advisor and independent committee member in both profit and non-profit sectors.

Tell us about your background, and how you came to found your company?
I started my career at PwC and spent 10 years in Indonesia and The Netherlands. I was in assurance and advisory services with specialization in mining industry. It led me to my second as CFO of Rio Tinto in Indonesia for 14 years until the company decided to sale their last asset in country in the largest mining acquisition history of Indonesia. Subsequent to that, I accepted an MD role at AWR Lloyd to setup the Indonesia office and lead the team. In August 2020, I chose to retire and pursue a career as independent advisor.
What is most important to you and your organization – mission, vision, or core values? Why?
My passion is to share my 25 years of experience in helping more organizations to help them achieve sustainable grow and make impact. I carefully select the organizations with good reputation that operate in ethical ways and share the same passion to make the world a better place for next generations.
Can you explain briefly how your service(s)/product(s) works?
I graduated as an accountant but throughout my career I have been engaging in multidiciplines including finance, strategy, corporate governance, risk management and business development.
How has the industry been changing in recent years?
No doubt, the pandemic has brought a whole new way in how we do things since last year. Some industry have been getting the advantages such as IT, Telco, e-commerce, to name a few, but some others are adversely impacted such as airline, hospitality and tourism. Certain UN SDGs become more urgent than ever due to the situation that we are facing now.
What makes you different from what’s currently available in the market?

I would say that I have been exposed to many industry and have been working in multicultural environment in different roles. I also in particular have a strong network as I like to meet people and make new friends.
What does the future hold for your company?
Being an independent professional with rich experience allows me to offer strategic advise and board room experience to the companies that I have been working with. I will continue to shape my knowledge and experience to mentor the next generation leaders.
