Tell us about your background, and how you came to found your company?
Alongside me is Cliff Tse, our Chief Technical Office, and Vincent Fan, our Chief Strategic Officer, we realized the trend of digital transformation of merchants and brands are in different sectors of F&B, and saw this gap between what traditional logistic companies can provide versus what these companies or brands need along the way of digital transformation. We leverage what we observed, and combine that with systems solutions and data to fill the gap to help the merchants and brands to move from offline to online. This positioned Zeek as a smart logistics company, focusing on last mile fulfillment.
What is most important to you and your organization – mission, vision, or core values? Why?
We are transforming the traditional delivery model with technology and data analytics as a core competence, so we broaden our system to them, by building a white label ordering channel for them to receive orders, or providing a system for them to better manage their order and/or manage their fleet. In terms of data, what we always emphasise is that we stand out by leveraging data with the calculation and algorithm to improve efficiency, and improve costs. To optimise the routing, we will use data to pair up orders so that we can bundle them, increasing efficiency. And we also can use data to estimate arrival time, providing full transparency of delivery status.
Can you explain briefly how your service(s)/product(s) works?
To help clients cope with the changing market and address their diversified business needs, Zeek was launched with a full spectrum of delivery services and tailored business solutions. ZeekDash and Zeek2Door provide instant and same-day delivery services to individuals and e-commerce clients while ZeekSolutions and ZeekEnterprises offer one-stop total solution with SaaS application, third-partner proposal and online-to-offline (O2O) business solution for enterprises from food ordering platforms to small and mediums-sized restaurants.
How has the industry been changing in recent years?
The pandemic has brought drastic changes in consumer behaviours. Many conventional merchants are looking to accelerate digital transformation to cope with the changes. In 2020, Zeek has handled over 3.4 million delivery orders, with the growth rate of 70% YoY. Zeek will extend our intelligent logistics applications to more industries and fuel our expansion in Southeast Asia where Internet penetration and young consumers are massive and exponential growth of online consumption is underway.
What makes you different from what’s currently available in the market?
On top of e-Commerce business, Zeek seizes the emerging business trend Quick Commerce delivery (QComm), Armed with Zeeks leading-edge intelligent logistics technology and O2O business models, renowned e-Commerce brands including HKTVmall, Pricerite, Decathlon and HOME+ have scaled up their online presence to capture e-Commerce business growth through collaboration with Zeek, and welcome the new normal of QComm, by offering convenient shopping experiences and quality delivery without any time limit.
What does the future hold for your company?
Zeek will invest resources to enhance ZeekSolutions, expand clients’ application scenarios of our services and develop the applications of smart logistics data to strengthen brand stickiness as well as to build competitive barriers. We will also collaborate with strategic partners to explore innovative retail models. On the other hand, we are open to exploring M&A or investment opportunities that can accelerate business growth and synergy in the O2O ecosystem; and is planning to set foot in Taiwan, the Philippines and Indonesia in 2021.
